From Shiba to Doge and lots of them. Having Elon Musk- our space exploration Tesla father as a supporter of cryptocurrencies especially the meme coins keeps everyone on their toes guessing and wanting not to miss out.
In this article, we are going to be looking at the third most valuable meme coin according to Coinmarketcap as we discuss Dogelon Mars Price Prediction.
What is Dogelon Mars?
Inspired by Dogecoin and Elon Musk, the Dogelon Mars token- ELON is a meme coin created on the Ethereum blockchain, an ERC-20 token.
As with other new currencies out there, Dogelon Mars is projecting and positioning itself as the currency of the future. But notably as the first InterPlanetary currency.
Launched in early 2021, it is not hard to see how this coin gets its name from Elon and Doge naturally leaving us wondering if it will ride high on Elon’s influence while some think it is owned by the Tesla CEO.
With tokenomics very identical to that of Shiba Inu and a Shiba Inu version of Elon Musk as a logo, it takes little to wonder if Dogelon Mars plans to go exactly like Shiba Inu is going (and better).
With anonymous founders, Dogelon Mars was launched (in April 2021) with 1 quadrillion tokens and 50% was given to the founder of Ethereum- Vitalik Buterin in what was a successful publicity stunt copied from Shiba Inu (again!)
Vitalik Buterin went on to give 43% of the tokens he received to the Methuselah Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to increase human lifespan and (the Foundation) announced that it would not be selling any tokens for at least a year.
These were all in a bid to boost investor confidence.
The second half of the total coin supply was put in a liquidity pool on Uniswap- a decentralized crypto exchange. The team also deposited 40 ETH (which was worth $100 thousand at the time) into the liquidity pool. They received LP tokens in return for being liquidity providers for Uniswap.
Also, the team went ahead to burn all the liquidity provider tokens they were given. All these prevent them from being able to withdraw the tokens deposited with Uniswap. It also stopped them from being able to collect any rewards that would accrue over time. This is just their proof to show they are not out to rug pull- a typical cryptocurrency scam where developers pump up the value of their coin, and en abandons the project after withdrawing as much of the asset as they can.
